Any interested girl from any High School in Fort Wayne may play on the Homestead Girls Lacrosse team as it is a club team.  We currently have girls from about 4 area schools.  We are a sanctioned team playing in the Indiana High School Women’s Lacrosse Association.

What if I just want to check it out and am not sure if I want to play?

Join us at the indoor practices in January and February.  The first few practices for potential players are complimentary.

What is the cost?

Currently, fees are $450. These fees help to pay for referees, uniform upkeep and replacement, lacrosse balls, field rental, coaches, goals and other team equipment.  Plus, a US Lacrosse membership is required and is an additional $35.00.

Are there ways to help me earn my fees?

Yes, we have everything from special fund-raising opportunities to need based scholarships.  We’ve never had to turn away families and players who have want to play!

What equipment do I need in order to play?

Eye protection/goggles, mouth guard (any color but not clear), lacrosse stick and shoes – preferably cleats (soccer cleats work well).  A uniform and gear bag is provided (on loan) for the season.   Spirit wear is available for purchase for both players and parents.

Do I need to know how to play?

No, we will teach you!

When and where are practices?

Indoor practice will be held at the ASH center during January through March.  Indoor conditioning will be held in January through March at AWP, conditioning will be provided by professional trainers.  Outdoor practices start early/mid March (depending on the weather) every weekday late afternoons at the practice field behind Woodside Middle School (2310 W.
